"Michelin continuously invests in talent development. For example, TyrePlus employees receive more than 100 hours of professional training a year from TyrePlus Academy," said Videau.

"More importantly, we provide high-quality service through tailor-made customer relation management programs. We launched a new member service this year, offering seven car maintenance packages, 24-hour non-tire emergency road rescue, free car checking and personalized services," he added.

"Members can also keep track of their car conditions in real time via mobile messages, micro-blogs, the official website and the hotline," he said.

According to the Qianzhan Industry Research Institute, the total revenue of China's automobile aftermarket hit 88 billion yuan in 2005, and then surged to 490 billion yuan in 2012, with an average annual growth of 26.9 percent.

The institute expects the market will maintain a 20 percent year-on-year growth in the next few years.

Revenue is expected to surpass 800 billion yuan in 2015, making China the largest vehicle aftermarket in the world.
