China's auto industry picks up in October

BEIJING -- China's automobile sales and output posted faster year-on-year growth in October, according to official data released Monday.
Sales climbed 20.34 percent in October year-on-year to 1.93 million units, up slightly from a growth of 19.66 percent in September, the China Association of Automobile Manufacturing said in a statement.
Production of automobiles surged 20.74 percent in October to 1.92 million units, faster than 15.96 percent seen in September, the statement said.
