The Tesla Model S is appealing enough to occasionally appear on a high-end business occasion, said a commentator in an article on Cheyun.com.

But just "occasionally," he wrote, "because it would be a waste of Tesla's outstanding performance to be used as just a business sedan".

In addition, Tesla sacrifices backseat legroom to guarantee sportiness, not the best layout for high-end business limousine.

As an unprecedented full-size luxury pure electric sedan, the Tesla Model S has a wheelbase of 2,959 mm and can generate peak power of 310 kW and top torque of 600 Nm.

It can accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in just 4.4 seconds and runs 480 km on a single charge.

Its interior has no physical buttons.

Instead, a 16-inch display can control all the functions inside the car.

Tesla is also innovative in its sales approach.

Unlike traditional showrooms, it tries to display the uniqueness of new energy vehicles through electronic media, similar to Apple's "experience stores".

Tesla's next ambition is to develop an SUV called the Model X, according to Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla Motors.

While the Chinese market for Tesla remains a question, the luxury electric model appears to be a new star in the US market.

According to statistics from analyst company LMC, Tesla has become a favorite of Wall Street investors, with its share price more than tripling.

"Backed by Wall Street investors and inspired by the Hollywood's film Iron Man, the Model S has become a new status symbol for the upper middle class in the US," said Zeng.

In the first quarter of this year, about 4,750 US buyers bought a Model S, while about 3,000 bought a Mercedes Benz S class sedan.
