BEIJING -- Chinese shares closed higher on Tuesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.34 percent, or 7 points, to finish at 2,072.83.
The Shenzhen Component Index gained 0.51 percent, or 37.62 points, to close at 7,391.22.
