China's electricity consumption in 2014 is projected to grow 7 percent over last year, a drop from 2013's 7.5 percent rise, an industry association said.
The installed electricity capacity this year will reach 1.34 billion kilowatts, Xinhua New Agency quoted a report from China Electricity Council as saying.
China's electricity consumption in 2013 grew 7.5 percent to hit 5.32 trillion kilowatt hours, higher than 2012's 5.5 percent growth, according to the National Energy Administration.
