Here's a plane crazy idea to help tourist class passengers get more privacy on a packed aircraft. It's a personalized curtain aimed at isolating a single seat for people who want to shut out the rest of the world. Called the B-Tourist, it's a stretchy, portable curtain clearly telling other cabin travelers and crew you do not want to be disturbed. The elastic curtain was created by industrial design graduates Idan Noyberg and Gal Bulka at Israel's Bezalel Academy in Jerusalem.
The B-Tourist can be stretched between headrests to the back and the front of the passenger, creating a cocoon around the passenger's head. Pouches sown into the curtain offer extra storage space for personal items and the flexible fabric can serve double-duty as a headrest. That could help stop passengers from accidentally resting their head on a fellow traveler's shoulder and vice versa.
