The average salary of employees in key State-owned enterprises was 111,357 yuan ($18,280) per year in 2012, 3.8 times that of employees in private enterprises, China Business News reported on Nov 7.
The average annual salary in 287 major State-owned enterprises and their listed companies was 8.2 percent more than it was in 2011.
The wages of monopoly enterprises remained well above the average wage of the country, even though the rate of wage increases in key State-owned enterprises has slowed.
Early this year, the State Council issued a document on wage reform with the intention of correcting the disparity.
