Trust company assets hit $1.6 trillion

The combined assets of China's trust companies reached 10.13 trillion yuan ($1.66 trillion) by the end of third quarter, a growth rate of 7.16 percent from the last quarter, according to Reuters.

The figure is also 1.14 percentage points lower than the 8.3 percent growth in the second quarter. 

Bank-trust cooperation products accounted for 21.39 percent of total trust assets by the end of September, slightly lower than the 22.05 percent at the end of June. 

Local media reported at the end of July that banking regulators in Shanghai called on banks to limit the scale of bank-trust cooperation.
