Chinese stocks open slightly lower - April 12

BEIJING - Chinese stocks opened slightly lower on Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index opening at 2,218.09 points, down 0.07 percent.

The Shenzhen Component Index dropped 0.1 percent to open at 8,911.38.
