East China's Jiangsu province exported 3,717 tons of aquatic products in the first four months of this year, a decline of 7 percent from the same period of last year, according to the local customs house.
The exports were valued at $7.86 million, down 34.7 percent year-on-year. The average price went down 29.7 percent to $2,115 per ton.
Between January and April, Jiangsu sold abroad 1,317 tons of unfrozen shrimps and prawns, up 200 percent year-on-year, 827.5 tons of living fish, down 54.9 percent, and 580.3 tons of mollusk, up 110 percent.
