TIANJIN -- Cameron Pace Group has formed a joint venture in North China's Tianjin municipality promote 3D filmmaking and equipment development in China.
CPG co-chairmen James Cameron and Vince Pace, Gong Jing, chairman of Tianjin Hitech Holding Group, and Wang Dafang, chairman of Tianjin North Film Group, signed the contract Tuesday here and announced the establishment of the joint venture.
The company will focus on 3D filmmaking, developing 3D technology and equipment and training 3D arts and technology professionals.
Cameron said the success of his films "Avatar" and "Titanic" in China has demonstrated the Chinese audience's love of 3D, and that is why they choose to share their 3D technology with China.
