On Jan 18, the awards ceremony for the 3rd Innovation Competition of IOT Intelligence Sensing was held in Beijing, marking a happy ending to the eight-month competition.
Awards were given to 40 works, including 1 gold award, 2 silver awards, 3 bronze awards and 34 single awards, covering many fields closely linked with people’s daily life, such as smart transportation, environmental protection, public security and medical treatment.
This year’s competition involved a series of themed activities, such as project promotion salons and entrepreneurial meetings and lectures to the surrounding cities of Beijing, under the guidelines of promoting the integrated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei. Furthermore, an online service platform was available for contestants and participants to access training, marketing and investment resources.
Mao Dongjun, vice-director of the Beijing Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology, said, "Though the competition has come to an end, its results are just starting to serve the society."

At the ceremony, both gold awarded and silver awarded projects raised money from institutional investors and signed a Memorandum of Intent. "We will spare no effort to promote the innovation and achievement transformation of the IOT industry and provide a platform for practitioners," Mao added.

The 3rd Innovation Competition of IOT Intelligence Sensing was guided by the Beijing Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology, and hosted by the Beijing Academy of Science and Technology.
