As the year 2016 approaches its end, the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs (SAFEA) invited foreign experts and representatives in Beijing to watch the grand Chinese national dance drama Zhaojun on Dec 8.

More than 1,400 foreign experts and representatives from all walks of life in Beijing were invited to the activity which was held at the National Center for the Performing Arts.
The grand dance drama Zhaojun was adapted from the story of Wang Zhaojun (52-15 BC) from the Han Dynasty (202 BC-220 AD), one of "four beauties" in ancient China, who married into the Huns for Han's national benefits. Artistically, the drama displayed the beauty of Zhaojun and her efforts to create a peaceful relationship between the Han people and the Xiongnu tribe.
