According to the report on Nov 28, Peking University Third Hospital recently launched a Wechat service.

Patients now are free to use WeChat to access some hospital functions, including appointment bookings, payments, medical test results and service ratings.

Seeing a doctor in the hospital has consequently become easier. Patients are able to access its services by following the Peking University Third Hospital’s official WeChat account, then providing their full name, ID number, phone number, and an ID photo. Once they have supplied those items they can apply for a hospital e-card.

Patients who already have a hospital card can go to the medical services desk directly. Others need to obtain a card by using the self-service desk or the service window on their first visit.

Test results for echocardiography (UCG), eye examinations and gastrointestinal motility are now available through the Wechat service, and others will gradually be added.

The pre-registration service opens to the public at 7:10 am every day.
