UISEE (Beijing) Technology Corporation and the Zhongguancun Emerging Industry Frontier Technology Research Institute in Fangshan District, Beijing, signed a strategic cooperation agreement on smart car development on Nov 5. The company is the first to settle in the institute.
The cooperation between the district and UISEE will push forward the research and development of the smart car and further encourage integration of upstream and downstream industries.
The two sides intend to explore building an innovative cross-industrial smart car manufacturing system and hastening the development of a smart car industrial cluster in Fangshan district.
The smart car is a multi-industrial product that involves transportation, electronic and automobile manufacturing. It is a developing trend and new strategy point in the auto industry.
Fangshan District is now focusing on developing an ecological demonstration area and exploring new approaches and ideas to accelerate the development of strategic emerging industries and research-to-market transformation.
UISEE, founded by Wu Gansha, former president of Intel Lab China, Jiang Yan, champion of the Future Challenge (a competition on the innovation of intelligent automobiles in China) and other experts is one of the leading intelligent traffic enterprises in China and solves congestion and logistics problems through artificial intelligence and big data.
To date, UISEE has finished its first round financing and garnered attention from several investment institutes such as Sinovation Ventures and CAS Star.
