Officials announced a November opening for the 2016 Hainan International RV (AUTO) Camping Leisure Tourism Expo at a press conference on Oct 13 in Haikou, the capital of Hainan province.
Exhibits will be co-hosted by the Haikou Convention and Exhibition Bureau and Beijing Camping Sports and Media Company with the theme of “leading international trends and a new tourism concept”.
“The preparation for the expo is going smoothly and a range of international companies supplying RVs, parts and accessories, and camping gear are getting involved ,” officials said.
Here is a preview of the exhibition with five highlights.
1. A large pavilion with classified collections
An over 45,000 square meter exhibition hall is divided into a Domestic Hall, an RV Hall and an RV Equipment and Technology Hall with three experience areas. In addition, an RV flea market will be open to the public outside the pavilion.
2. Fishing equipment and camping food exhibitions
The fishing equipment exhibit expresses a unique Hainan sea fishing culture and the exhibit dedicated to camping food advocates healthy living. Those two exhibitions hint at how to enjoy a high-quality life style outdoors.
3. Eight themed activities
Eight themed activities including a color marathon, an RV carnival and a road trip to Wuzhi Mountain will be held to vary the sights for this year’s visitors.
4. Three forums for the Chinese camping industry
Three forums will be held to clearly point the way to the future development of Chinese camping.
5. RV 2.0 era
With the advent of the RV 2.0 era, the camping and RV industry have developed rapidly. Hainan aims to be an international camping island in the near future and to build a platform for becoming an “internet + Camping industry” incubator through the exhibition.
