Charming Beijing photo exhibition held in Sofia, Bulgaria

A photo exhibition showing Beijing’s brilliant culture and beautiful scenery was staged on Sept 26 at the National Palace of Culture, in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria. The venue is the largest multifunctional conference and exhibition centre in south-eastern Europe.

Seventy-two photos, divided into four sections, were on display.

The exhibition, called Charming Beijing, was put on by the Beijing municipal government to promote friendship between China and south-eastern Europe and to introduce Beijing's tourist attractions.

A show of Beijing intangible cultural heritages, organized by Beijing Dongcheng district, attracted a lot of visitors. “It’s amazing to have first-hand experience of oriental traditional culture,” said one.
