Diners at Shangri-La Hotel's restaurants and bars have been enjoying the opportunity to sample a range of foods.
One mixture, which features quinoa, potato foam, mushrooms and parsley sponge cooked by chefs from the Shangri-La Hotel in Beijing, is designed to convey a feeling of comfort to diners.
In addition to comfort, four other moods and sensations - elegance, intimacy, positivity and adventurousness - can be chosen from foods available at Shangri-La restaurants with different themes reflected in the different meal choices and decorations.
The culinary experience platform is called Feed Your Mood and is part of The Table by Golden Circle, a loyalty program launched by Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts on Aug 30 to offer its signature food and beverage services to who dine at Shangri-La properties.

Wee Kee Ng, Shangri-La's vice-president of partner and loyalty marketing, said the program helps to build a stronger connection between Shangri-La properties around the world and their guests.
As well as The Table, Golden Circle members can get award points, discounts and bonus earnings during the nine-month campaign.
Based in Hong Kong, Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts currently operates 98 properties with a room inventory of more than 40,000 and over 500 restaurants and bars worldwide.
Menus from the hotels can be accessed via the company's official website, as well as profiles and videos about its chefs.
"Through The Table, we are giving guests greater access to culinary experiences," said Shangri-La's Chief Marketing Officer Steven Taylor.
