On Sept 7, the opening ceremony of the 2016 Beijing CBD Business Festival was held at the Chaoyang Museum of Urban Planning.
At the ceremony, Alibaba Northern Operation Center, China Elion Resources Group (ELION) and LeEco Group signed strategic cooperation agreements with Chaoyang district, Beijing to join hands in the development of Internet Plus, technology, culture, sports and eco-environment management.
The Alibaba Northern Operation Center will be settled in the Dawangjing International Technological and Business Innovative District. The center will not only be a basic platform for research and development in cloud computing, big data and the mobile Internet, but also an operation base for innovative businesses, including Alibaba E-commerce, Alibaba Health, AliHealth, AliMusic and Internet Finance, said Jin Jianhang, senior president of Alibaba Group.
Alibaba, with over 60 subsidiaries and more than 10,000 employees, has two centers---Hangzhou and Beijing. In the future, the Northern Operation Center will be the core of Alibaba Group’s integration of its business in Beijing, Jin added.

After LeEco headquarters, LeEco Phone and LeMall have settled down in Chaoyang district, the Chaoyang government will cooperate with LeEco in various areas, such as growing Cultural Chaoyang, innovative development of the sports industry, development of a cloud technology platform for mass innovation and entrepreneurship and Internet Plus to actively explore new models for the development and integration of industries.
The cooperation agreement between Chaoyang and ELION focuses on a desert economy, clean energy and natural pharmaceuticals.
According to an official, the Dawangjing International Technological and Business Innovative District will prioritize the development of the science and technology service industry during the 13th Five-Year Plan period. At the end of the period, all the buildings in the district will be in operation.
