Award ceremony of 3rd National Painting Competition on the Environment for Primary and Secondary Schools held in Beijing

On the morning of August 25, the award ceremony of the 3rd National Painting Competition on the Environment for Primary and Secondary Schools was held in Beijing.

The competition, with a theme of “Green Lifestyle”, kicked off in March. By the end of May, the organizing committee had received a total of about 3,000 entries from Environmental Education Centers throughout the country. Through expert evaluation 139 winners, 20 Excellent Tutors and six Excellent Organizations were chosen.

At the ceremony, Jia Feng, director of the Center for Environmental Education & Communications of the Ministry of Environmental Protection, and Yu Jun, a representative of the Tanoto Foundation, presented the award certificates to the winners.

Jia said, we call for everyone to lead a green lifestyle. If we all start from the trivial, from the beginning, the world will become green and beautiful.

Yu noted that 2016 is the third year of the national painting competition on the environment for primary and secondary schools, which has found great favor with students and teachers. The hope is to raise environmental awareness among students who will be the future.
