Coming to terms with a change of culture

Editor’s Note: Culture shock is sometimes unavoidable. It is the feeling an individual experiences when visiting a new country, or any environment where things are done differently. Here are some examples of culture shock our Forum readers experienced during their stay in China.

My biggest culture shock was the toilets! If you are out in a public place they are usually the squat type and no toilet paper is provided.
