The Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei (BTH) Development Area Innovation Union signed a cooperative construction agreement with the Caofeidian Economic Development Area at an industry cooperation seminar on July 22.
The union also established a 100 billion yuan fund with the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China and Beijing E-Town International Investment & Development Co., Ltd. to support infrastructure construction and industrial reform in the BTH region.
The innovation union, sponsored by the China Association of Development Zones and over 10 national economic development areas in July last year, has been contributing to cooperation and innovation in financing, branding and energy conservation.
At the seminar, it signed another 13 agreements with more than 50 companies and organizations, including the Beijing Pharmaceutical Profession Association, the Beijing Enterprise Confederation, China Minmetals Corporation and Beidou Group in biological medicine, electronic information, equipment manufacturing and other sectors, finding consensus on regional development direction.
The union also plans to cooperate with Shanghai Lingang Group, CNATY and the Beijing Economic Development Area on BTH navigation and work on telemedicine projects with the National Health and Family Planning Commission Telemedicine Center, in accordance with the Guiding Opinions on Examination and Assessment System Building to Motivate Innovation published by the General Office of the State Council in April.
In addition, China Crystal Technologies, Beijing Baixin Union Energy Investment, Beijing Smart Energy Engineering Technology, and Tangshan Diting Transport will invest projects such as a 6-inch gallium arsenide integrated circuit program in the Caofeidian Industrial Park.
