On June 26, the Shanxi province held a special meeting in Beijing to promote its rich tourist resources, targeted at foreign people living in the capital. A part of a precision marketing promotion, the "Shanxi, A Land of Splendors" campaign in Beijing aims to attract more international travelers.
"The highlight of the promotion is that we just choose foreign people living in Beijing as our targets," a person in charge of the Shanxi Tourism Bureau said.

Taking part in the promotional activity were nearly 260 people, including international travelers, businessmen, educational staff and the representatives of international organizations, of which reside in Beijing.
