On May 23, the organizing committee of the 2016 Beijing National Electronic Arena (NEA) held a press conference in the Beijing Sports Competition Administration Center (BSCAC) to outline the contest process. Zhou Shanghai, vice director of BSCAC, attended the conference and Li Wenliang, executive secretary of the NEA organizing committee and general manager of Tongfang Media (Beijing) Ltd, delivered a keynote speech.

The following six messages were unveiled at the conference:
1 20,000 sqm stage effect.
2. Online competition will run in three categories -- client games, mobile games and table games, and offline contests will cover 12 domestic cities including Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, 100 colleges and universities as well as 2 million college students.
3. Interested people can buy tickets on the NEA official website (www.nea-bj.com), Weibo or other cooperative platforms.
4. The Championship Ring, worth 990,000 yuan, has totems of Chinese traditional competitions, such as Tai Chi and Kung Fu.
5. The canvassing of G.G Girl will kick off in five cities.
6. G.G Girl and the competition will be covered on live television by PandaTV.
The final battle, an electronic arena Olympics, will take place in the Bird’s Nest July 1-3.
Under the guidance of the Information Center of the General Administration of Sport of China and the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Sports, the 2016 NEA is co-hosted by the Beijing Sports Competition Administration Center and the Bird’s Nest and is undertaken by Tongfang Media (Beijing) Ltd.
