A press conference organized by the conference service sector of the 4th China Beijing International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) was held in Gaobeidian, Chaoyang district, Beijing, on May 4.
At the conference, Chu Xiangyin, standing vice-president of the China Convention/ Exhibition/ Event Society (CCEES), introduced the general arrangement of the 4th CIFTIS’s conference service sector. He said the sector will focus on the strategic layout of the conference services industry, and explore a new path of combining exhibition services with the Internet and promoting the concept of green exhibitions.
In recent years, many internationally renowned conferences have come to China one after another, such as the World Internet Conference, APEC, the Davos Forum, the Boao Forum for Asia and the G20 Summit, which has enabled Chinese conference services to make their mark in the global market. At the same time, market competition has becomes increasingly fierce. Thus, the 4th CIFTIS plans to host a series of activities, including a China International Conference Industry Fair and a China International Conference Industry Week, to offer suggestions for the development of China’s conference service industry.
Representatives from some exhibition enterprises and organizations, including Zhang Liang, deputy director general of the Jilin Bureau of Expo Affairs, Pan Jianjun, president of Merient International Exhibitions, and Lv Yugui, president of Space Idea International Exhibition Group, as well as over 30 members of the media, attended the conference.
