Thursday April 28 marks 30 days until the 4th China Beijing International Fair for Trade in Services (also known as Beijing Fair), the first comprehensive platform for service trades in the world, is launched. It will be held at the China National Convention Center in Beijing from May 28 to June 1, 2016.

The 4th CIFTIS plans to prepare a 50,000 square meter exhibition area for exhibitors from 31 Chinese provinces and cities and 32 overseas countries and regions, as well as for five industrial groups. It intends to organize 122 seminars and trade promotion activities to build a leading platform for global service trades products.

In order to further display the service trades advantage of developed countries and regions, promote the integration of the service industry and service trades and strengthen cross-regional communication, the 4th Beijing Fair has chosen a Guest of Honor and Guest Province of Honor for the first time: respectively, the United Kingdom and Zhejiang province.

Chinese President Xi Jinping's state visit to Britain, which is a developed service trades area, from last October 19 to 23 has opened a "golden era" in UK-China relations. The two sides will work to expand the development of their trade in goods and in services.

As a strong force in the domestic service market, Zhejiang province has actively invited and supported attendance at the Beijing fair by leading service businesses from cultural, cross-border e-commence, sports, finance and tourism sectors. Zhejiang will also join with Hangzhou, the G20 host city, to highlight the achievements of regional service trades.

By April 27, 1,700 enterprises from more than 80 countries and regions, over 9,000 professional traveling merchants, 200 global news agencies and 600 journalists were registered, according to the fair’s organization committee.
