When the city of Beijing holds its 4th China International Fair for Trade in Services at the National Convention Center, May 28 - June 1, it will have an e-commerce meeting that focuses on innovation, the ecology and a shared economy to study international e-commerce development trends in China and abroad.
The meeting will also have forums on Internet plus-based cross-border consumption, life services, rural and community services, payment and business culture. "One of the most important areas of discussion, especially after the ups and downs of O2O, will be how to improve life services, take advantage of new opportunities, new development, and realize cooperation with winning results," said an official of the fair's organization committee.
Beijing considers e-commerce a major focus in opening-up services so the meeting will come with an exhibition area of 680 square meters, with intelligent city, demonstration, convenient life, innovative development, international and cross-border e-commerce, and life service areas.
E-commerce companies, national e-commerce demonstration sites, and model businesses can sign up. One export-based cross-border e-commerce site headquartered in Beijing, xbniao.com, has confirmed its attendance.
One major problem for Chinese enterprises in the export business has been a lack of channels, so xbniao.com says, it offers 75 sites online crossing 45 countries, which means plenty of export channels that Chinese companies can use for faster export growth.
And, according to its CEO, Liu Yin, "Americans often use online shopping platforms such as eBay, Amazon and Newegg, and xbniao.com allows Chinese brands to conduct open trade on those platforms in 15 minutes."
Liu says the company cuts the number of intermediate links so that foreign buyers don't have to change their habits, language or payment method to purchase Chinese items, adding that home furnishings, apparel, computers, mobile phones and parts are all popular with foreign customers.
The company also handles business to business operations to satisfy Chinese suppliers' bulk purchase needs and it cooperates with big purchasers in Russia, the CIS, Bahrain and Greece and has more than 230,000 buyers.
It has also helped Chinese chemical, building materials, equipment, agricultural machinery and medical instruments companies go overseas.
Liu concludes by saying, "Our orders is expected to hit $32 billion this year" and they have operations in all the major points along the Belt and Road and even reach the US, Europe, Australia and Bahrain.
"The company differs from traditional set-ups of its kind, because it handles exhibitions, sales, logistics, and storage. It has applied an O2O model and directly displays Chinese products in Bahrain. It has helped to get brisk sales for Chinese tableware companies." Liu added.
