The fair has attracted many governments, Chinese and foreign enterprises and industrial organizations in the service industry since its debut in 2012.
It is a high-level platform for conferences, exhibitions, promotions and trade in the service sector. More than 6,100 companies and nearly 400,000 business people from 154 countries and regions have taken part in the previous three fairs, yielding $220.6 billion in trade.
The World Trade Organization, the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, the three main international organizations in service trade, are permanent supporters of the fair.
“The fair will show the potential of the Chinese market. As a world-class service trade fair, the event is expected to usher service industry trade into a fast-growing era,” Cheng said.
