The publice Interest Fair of Xicheng District will open at the Service Center of Xicheng District on Jan 18-20.
Co-hosted by the Xicheng District Committee of Social Work and Xicheng District Communications Center for Public Welfare Culture, the fair aims to build a platform for public and government cooperation through press conferences, promotion conferences and exhibitions.
The fair has two highlights. First, it provides opportunities for both the government and the public to have face-to-face interactions. During the fair, the government will release 93 new purchase programs on site, and providers of 40 projects and 16 social organizations will give detailed presentations.
Second, all the programs present will focus on the service of the people's livelihood and grassroots governance.The purchase programs, worth 17.30 million yuan (about $2.63 million), are related to more than 20 fields, including voluntary service, community education, and legal aid etc.
The fair will last three days, and the layout plan of social work service centers will also be released.
