An alliance to develop the economy of China's airports was established at the 8th China Airports Economy Summit held on Nov 19 in Beijing.
The alliance will serve as a national communication platform for China's airport-related industries and aims to put the industrial resources of airports together for sustainable development of their economies.
The Beijing Airport Economic Core Zone, along with some other airport group companies and research institutes across the country, initiated the alliance, in hopes of establishing a long-term communication and cooperation system for the entire chain of the airport industry.
With the alliance, that industry and related ones will have a stronger voice in the formation of policies in this economic area.
In addition, the alliance can help the industry grow into a social and economic pillar, breaking regional barriers by emphasizing advantages of different regions.
The alliance is the first leading institution in China's airport economics. As such, it will promote cooperation among its members for creative progress.
The Beijing Airport Economic Core Zone, in Beijing's Shunyi district and 10 kilometers away from the downtown area, has attracted various enterprises beyond the airport itself, including financial and cultural and creative enterprises. The zone has 45 projects holding investment from the world top 500 enterprises.
