A Tai Ping You Xiang bronze and an 18th century glided clock are among the highlights of Poly International Auction's autumn sale next month.

The clock is an example of Britain's mechanical prowess and artistic refinement in that period.

It was commissioned by the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) court as a tribute to Emperor Qianlong.

Also expected to be auctioned at the sale, which marks the 10th anniversary of the auction house, are three Buddha figurines from the collection of Jules Speelman.

The London-based antique dealer developed an interest in the figurines in his 20s, fascinated by their sophistication and rarity. His collection include ones from China’s central plain, Tibet, Nepal and India.

A preview of the items will be held over Dec 2-4 at Beijing's Agricultural Exposition Center.
