A malfunction of several engine parts is the reason for the recall. The company promises to check and upgrade the engine parts and will not sell its stock of the flawed editions.
Chrysler China also announced from Oct 31 that it will recall the 2011-2015 editions of the Dodge Journey manufactured between July 19, 2010, and May 26, 2015.
A total of 58,643 units will be recalled because of similar engine problems as the Fiat Freemont.
