More than 30 poets from China and abroad, including Germany, France, Iran and the United States, gathered at Beijing's China Millennium Monument on Sunday to celebrate the annual Mid-autumn festival and recite their works about the moon at the 7th Mid-autumn International Poetry Meeting.

Every year, the poetry meeting features the patriotic poem My Homeland in My Heart recited by a group of children. The poem was written by Gao Zhanxiang, former deputy minister of China’s Ministry of Culture.

This year, Taiwan's Yu Kwang-Chung participated in the event with two poems about homesickness for the Chinese mainland.

The event was jointly organized by the Beijing Municipality's Office for Civilization, the Standing Office of the Organizing Committee of the Beijing Fair and the Beijing Gehua Cultural Group.
