At the parade marking the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II (1937-1945) on September 3 at the Tian'anmen Square in Beijing, two 360-square meter-LED screens were installed in the square relaying the scene to audiences around the world.
The LED screens are products of Leyard Optoelectronic Co, a full range manufacturer and LED provider that celebrated its 20th anniversary on Sept 10 in Beijing.
As a trail blazer starting in 1995, Leyard is now an industry leader with international influence after 20 years of efforts. Its products include indoor, outdoor, fixed, rental and creative LED solutions for sports, advertisement, or other events. The company's P2.5 LED TV is the first of its kind in China.
The company now has eight wholly-owned companies, 28 branches, two production bases in China, and five subsidiaries overseas. It went public in the Shenzhen Stock Exchange in March 2012.
At the ceremony, Leyard launched three new products to show its strong innovative ability.
One is a broadcasting and control platform consisting of a multi-video controller and a broadcasting control system. This high-end solution meets the demands of the control room market.
The other two innovations are Leyard's smart TV, for video meetings and teaching, and a small pixel pitch P0.9mm high definition seamless LED display screen wall, used for monitoring and surveillance.
Leyard's inexhaustible technological innovations come from the company's high input in technology research and development. Around seven percent of revenue is used in research and development per year, giving the company a lead in producing the smallest pixel pitch P0.9mm LED panels in quantity.
So far, the company has more than 270 patents and a system to protect its brand and technologies.
Leyard CEO Li Jun said Leyard will become a leading innovator in the LED industry, and boost the industry's healthy and sustainable development and innovation.
In 2014, the company drawn up a development strategy focusing on its four businesses: LED small pixel TVs, LED intelligent lighting, LED displays, and LED cultural and educational media.
In August 2015, Leyard acquired Planar, the premier display provider in the US, to expand its business and increase competitiveness.
