Two days of continuous heavy rainfall in Beijing on Sept 4-5 replenished water at the Fragrant Hills, an imperial garden at the foot of the Western Mountains in Haidian district, in northwestern Beijing.
The Fragrant Hills Park was also formerly known as Jingyi Palace or "Jingyiyuan", which means quiet and comfortable.
This ample rain refreshed the waterscape, with small lakes, pools, streams, waterfalls, and springs. The park became idyllic with the scene of green trees and the beautiful sound of flowing water.
Picturesque and tranquil Fragrant Hills after rain is transient but truly marvelous.
