The environmental assessment of Subway Line 19, potentially one of Beijing’s fastest subway lines, is open to public opinion.

The Third Railway Survey and Design Institute Group (TSDIG), the designer of Subway Line 19, posted an announcement on its official website inviting the public to voice opinions on the subway line’s environmental impact.

The public can deliver written comments by letter, fax or e-mail to the TSDIG before June 3.

Subway Line 19 will go 22.4km through Beijing city , from Xingong out of the South Fourth Ring Road to Mudanyuan near the North Third Ring Road. The average speed could reach 100km per hour, which means it will finish the whole journey in 13 minutes.

Subway Line 19 is one of the six subway lines planned to start construction this year. It’s expected to complete in 2020.
