A public service platform for medium and small businesses officially went into operation on May 14. The platform will help businesses to solve problems in policies, financing, sites, and talent.
The platform has provided up to 1,000 policy consultations and has helped raise more than 500 million yuan ($80.7 million) since the trial operation in the end of last year.
Apart from the service hall, an online service platform and an association providing business services will also be established, according to Dong Qinyang, director of the service platform.
According to Zhang Boxu, director of Beijing Commission of Economy and Information Technology, the platform accumulates service resources from 16 districts and counties, 33 business institutions, 154 windows and platforms, and 113 organizations.
In addition, the platform will start an innovative service pattern supported by the government and operated by the market. The government support guarantees the non-profit features of the platform, while the market-orientation ensures its sustainable development, Zhang said.
Zhang added that the platform implements new service measures, and uses both online and off-line service models. Up to 90 percent of service functions are available online.
