Performer Li Yugang has announced that, for his first time in his career, he will represent a commercial brand — State-owned real estate company Luneng — for its four landmark properties in Beijing.
Li is renowned for his superb portrayal of women’s roles and the unique performer has, until now, refused any advertising or branding deals.
He said his decision to represent Luneng Group is due to the peaceful and amiable living conditions offered by the Luneng No. 7 Courtyard, where he plans to live and which he said will allow him the serenity he has sought for years.
Li is one of the few countertenor singers in China, a classical male singing style with a vocal range equivalent to that of a female contralto or mezzo-soprano.
However, Li is not just a Peking Opera actor who plays female roles; nor only a countertenor, as the 37-year-old is equally adept at playing male roles on stage.
His performances thrill audience with his skills in traditional Chinese arts, Peking Opera and Kunqu Opera, in which he captivates audiences with his beauty and grace.
Li performed his most popular piece, Jing, Hua, Shui, Yue, or Mirror, Flower, Water and Moon, at the Century Theater in Beijing on May 15 and 16 to represent the four Luneng properties. Those properties are known as the Meditation Home — the Luneng No. 7 Courtyard; the Fashion Home — Grasse Town; the Dream Home — a landmark hotel-style serviced apartment project in conjunction with a leading hotel group that is under construction; and the Collection Home — Yosemite.
Sales of properties at Luneng No. 7 Courtyard will begin on May 30; Grasse Town plans to release more independent villas and the serviced apartments and a new zone in Yosemite will debut in the second half of this year.
Statistics show that Luneng, which is headquartered in East China’s Shandong province, has real estate projects in 26 cities in 14 provinces throughout China. By the end of 2014, the company’s total developed property area reached 11.24 million square meters.
A total of 4.86 million sq m is currently being developed and the company also owns 14.1 million sq m of land awaiting development.
The group said its property projects could help accommodate different social rankings in Beijing and the four projects Li is associated with represent four common dreams that people cherish.
Luneng No. 7 Courtyard is located in Shunyi New Town in northeastern Beijing. Boasting convenient access to subway networks and located alongside a river, it offers residents an ideal home for healthy lives.
Grasse Town, Beijing’s largest villa community, is located in the golden area close to the Capital Airport and the Wenyu River and features French-style architecture. Its exquisite style mingles Chinese and Western cultural elements and is a stylish home for the city’s fashion lovers.
The serviced apartments, on the southern third ring road, benefit from the complex’s advantageous location, transportation and auxiliary infrastructure. It’s a home for people who plan to initiate their careers in China to realize their dreams.
Yosemite, one of the pioneer villa areas in Beijing, will release more land parcels in its limited areas that could be labeled a valuable collection, the company said.
