The Beijing Shijingshan Amusement Park held a farewell ceremony on Wednesday for its ferris wheel which has been serving tourists for 29 years.
The ferris wheel has received around nine million visitors, and cherished the happiness and memories of numerous people since it started operation on September 28, 1986.
Many people were invited to the farewell ceremony to tell their stories about ferris wheel. Postcards under the theme of "Ferris Wheel's Memory" were also provided to tourists.
During the upcoming Labor Day Holiday, the amusement park will also organize a series of ferris wheel related activities to continue the memories and romantic stories of this historic wheel.
