2. Cocoa tour in Hong Kong
Conrad Hong Kong and Valrhona, the French royalty of cocoa, are teaming up for a journey exclusively crafted for chocolate connoisseurs. Through May 31, an indulgent afternoon tea set will be served in the lobby lounge featuring concoctions of savories and sweet treats. The confections feature different cocoa varieties, such as crispy chocolate choux using Guanaja 70 percent for an extraordinary bitter flavor, and smooth and creamy chocolate apricot tart with Dulcey 32 percent for its velvety and enveloping texture. The subtle floral aromas of Alpaco 66 percent from Ecuador and intense chocolate taste balance the flavor of passion fruit in a newly created mousse cake that hotel pastry chef Billy Yuen declares to be one of his favorites. Priced at HK$238 ($31) per set, the themed tea includes house-made chocolate-chip scones and an option of Valrhona chocolate cappuccino or tea. Yuen has also incorporated Valrhona creations into the weekend tea spread. The weekend afternoon tea buffet is priced at HK$258 ($33) per adult and HK$188 ($24) per child.

3. Mumm for Mom
If the lady of the day desires an award-winning brunch, Crowne Plaza Beijing Lido will be offering Mother's Day Champagne Brunch, served in the hotel's beautiful Matrix. 4. Yin and yang of salad
China World Summit Wing Beijing rolls out its healthy Super Salad (100 yuan with a 15-percent surcharge), among its healthy-eating offerings at The Lounge on the 80th floor. Each salad has been designed based on the Chinese yin and yang philosophy to provide a balanced intake for diners' well-being. The salads on offer will help cleanse and detoxify and have such nutritional functions as cholesterol reduction, cardiovascular detox, skin therapy, iron supplement and more. For instance, the Mixed Berry Salad, which is good for cardiovascular detox, offers a good serving of raspberry, blueberry and strawberry - all known antioxidants that help repair damaged cells. Other ingredients, such as fresh pepper, help release endorphins and reduce body pain. 5. Bibigo
A South Korean chain of restaurants, recently unveiled its deep-frozen dumplings in the Chinese market. The dumplings are with fillings of meat and vegetables, and win popularity in South Korean due to its good flavor. Customers can buy them at the brand's five outlets in Beijing and supermarkets. Bibigo also have new Korean dishes in season including crab noodles, roasted beef rolled in cabbages, and dandelion with buckwheat noodles. Psy, who became world famous with his Gangnam Style song, is the spokesman for Bibigo that's owned by South Korean food giant CJ Group.
