German master photographer Frank P. Palmer was invited to take part in the contest. He will spend three days in Pinggu taking voluntary photos.
Local guides will lead the photographer to famous scenery areas in the district, including top 10 flower fields, Yaji Mountain and Jinhai Lake.
He will also have a chance to go deep into folk villages, get a close look at China's new-look countryside and record the most beautiful April days in Pinggu district on camera.
Pinggu district is regarded as one of the top ten best places in the world to enjoy flowers. It is home to the world's biggest peach garden, which covers an area of 220,000 mu (14,470 hectares). Every April, peach trees bloom into a sea of flowers, painting the scenery in pink.
Pinggu has become a first-choice spring outing destination for residents in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, as well as a good venue for shutterbugs.
