Zhongguancun Innovation Street in Beijing's Haidian district, which once was home to shops selling books and clothes, has become an innovation and entrepreneurship landscape avenue.
Since it opened in June 2014, the 200-meter-long and 10-meter-wide street has attracted over 20 agencies providing services for startups, more than 200 funded projects, 400 entrepreneurial teams and nearly 500 activities.
More and more "makers" are attracted by its entrepreneurial culture and environment and do aspire to realize their dreams there.
"Maker" refers to people who turn innovative ideas into creative products due to their hobbies, interests and skills.
