BOE Alta, a new conceptual display terminal launched by the BOE Technology Group earlier this year, won the iF gold award for product design at the "iF Design Awards Night 2015" in Munich, Germany, on Feb 27.
BOE Alta stood out against nearly 5,000 shortlisted products from 50 countries around the world and became the only Chinese television product that won the top award this year.
The jury of the award said that BOE Alta is a product with simplicity, purity and creativity. It lures due to the application of high quality materials, which serve an aesthetically convincing design on the one hand, andits new approach of integrating electronics and loud speakers in the base component of the TV, on the other.
BOE Alta adopts the European minimalist design style, focuses on the seamless audio-visual experience and uses Advanced Super Dimension Switch (ADSDS) technology for a 55-inch 4K Ultra HD screen, which perfectly combines art with technology.
Launched in 1954, iF Product Design Award is one of the most prestigious design awards worldwide and dubbed as international design industry's Oscar.
