To help its resident companies get some overseas market experience and info on purchasing a foreign company, the Beijing Economic Technological Development Area, or E-town, arranged a conference on transnational mergers and acquisitions, overseas and related financing, on Jan 23.
A shortage of financing has become a major problem for Chinese companies in trying to acquire other companies, especially in overseas mergers, with many of them stopped simply because of a shortage of capital, hence the conference, whose purpose was to help its members with overseas capital management.
E-town asked experts from large overseas investment banks, corporations, and exchange houses to share their expertise and experience in this area, along with Chinese and foreign agencies and capital providers taking part to connect with companies that have the idea of purchase a foreign company.
The organizer was the E-town Capital Group, whose staff members said that overseas financing and acquisition has become an important development strategy for many Chinese companies, so this event, enterprises could help a lot.
