Beijing's Economic Technological Development Area, or E-town, got a visit from an interesting media delegates, the Forbes Group in Asia, on Jan 27, who came to discuss past cooperation and future opportunities Forbes Asia's branding strategy for 2015.
Leading the group of visitors was Joyce Lim, executive director of Forbes Asia, who described their international media resources, especially new media and said that E-town's rapid development had attracted more attention from top media around the world. Lim explained that Forbes will develop a stronger, long-term, more stable partnership with E-town and is paying more attention to its industrial improvements, and hopes to help promote E-town's image as an internationally influential science and technology innovation center.
Zhao Yajuan, head of E-town's publicity, said they consider international media resources very important for E-town's image and international branding, and putting E-town on the world stage. Zhao added that E-town has done some image branding recently in Forbes's special column,"Investment Guide", which is quite effective in gaining global exposure.
Zhao went on to say that her team had done a lot of research on global media groups before choosing Forbes as its main partner and that Forbes is definitely one of the most renowned financial media groups, and its Global Magazine has a circulation of more than 1 million around the world, and 5 million readers. The group also has many business resources, for example, its annual Global CEO Conference, which ranks with the Davos Summit and the Fortune Global Forum as one of the top three economic forums in the world.
