China's first company specializing in technical services was founded on Jan 12 in Tsinghua University Science Park in Beijing's Zhongguancun.
Co-funded by Tus-Holdings Co, Tsinghua Holdings Co and Tsinghua Unigroup Co, the newly established Tus Technical Services Group is expected to attract an initial investment of 10 billion yuan ($1.6 billion). Tus-Holdings will invest at least 5 billion yuan, and the other two have promised 1 billion yuan each. The other nearly 3 billion yuan will come from other organizations and individuals that are interested in technical service businesses.
A subsidiary under Tsinghua Holdings, Tus-Holdings has shares in more than 200 companies, and manages total assets worth more than 30 billion yuan.
The new company is a result of a partnership among Tsinghua Holdings' subsidiaries and their latest attempt to push forward the nation's technical service business.
Supported by national policies, the new company will integrate resources of Tsinghua Holdings, make innovations in technical service models, and extend its service industry chain, said its executives, adding that the company aims to become a full-industry-chain service provider "with top service and influence nationwide".
