Tsinghua x-lab, an innovative interdisciplinary educational platform aimed at cultivating skills for entrepreneurship and innovation at Tsinghua University, announced the establishment of a venture capital fund of 30 million yuan ($4.8 million) and an entrepreneurs club at a news conference in Beijing on Dec 26, 2014.
Zhang Jinsheng, vice-president of Tus-Holdings Co attended the conference.
The fund, initiated by Tsinghua Holdings Co and Tus-Holdings Co, provides substantive support for innovation and entrepreneurship projects. Thus, it can also be called a starting fund for entrepreneurship.
Earnings of the fund will be used to support the efficient operation of x-lab and help its sustainable development.
Entrepreneurs in Tsinghua University don't need to worry so much about money if they want to realize their dreams at x-lab.
