Beijing 2022 is a joint bid by Beijing with Zhangjiakou and the Chinese Olympic Committee for the 2022 Winter Olympics. Beijing, a city that has successfully hosted the 2008 Summer Olympics, has vast potential in putting its Olympic legacy and experience to use for the 2022 Winter Olympics. The successful completion of the 2008 Summer Olympics is seen as Beijing's biggest advantage.
The city is now making good use of its Olympic legacy, avoiding the need for a large number of new stadiums. The host city will be elected on July 31, 2015, at the 128th IOC Session in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
