Huang Ting restaurant has reimagined a new array of dishes for an eight-course set menu for the holiday season. Limited-edition creations include braised black-chicken soup with cordycep flower and medlar fruits, steamed sole fillet with shredded pork and red dates, wok-fried diced beef tenderloin with lotus root in black pepper sauce, followed by seasonal sliced fruits and baked dumplings with a crisp crust.

Kempinski (798-999 yuan)

Traditional Christmas delights are on offer at Kranzler's, such as roast goose and turkey, with holiday offerings from all of the hotel restaurants at this buffet. 798 yuan per person (plus a 15 percent surcharge, free for children under 10), at the Kempinski Hotel Beijing Lufthansa Center. Also in the hotel: Bavarian Holy Christmas set menu at the Paulaner restaurant, with unlimited Paulaner beer, local wine and soft drinks. 999 yuan per person (plus a 15 percent service charge).

St. Regis (488-999 yuan)

The St. Regis Beijing is offering a tempting culinary journey on Christmas Eve, with a free flow of chilled champagne, all sorts of festive delicacies and international flavors, and a seafood extravaganza, with the freshest catch served in a variety of delectable dishes. 999 per person with a lucky draw.

On Christmas Day, the hotel will serve an award-winning family brunch with free flowing Veuve Clicquot Champagne. The menu includes fresh seafood, traditional roast turkey with condiments, honey-glazed ham, juicy roast beef, Christmas puddings and more. Santa Claus will be there with special Christmas gifts for children. 488 yuan per person (588 with free-flow Champagne).

Enjoy marvelous food, sing along with a Christmas choir and stand a chance to get special presents from Santa Claus.

The Ritz-Carlton Beijing, Financial Street (588-1,288 yuan)

A seven-course Chinese set menu will be offered New Year's Eve at Qi Restaurant as well as an exceptional a la carte selection, including dishes traditionally eaten to usher in wealth, happiness and good fortune. These include assorted Chinese appetizers, steamed turbot fish, pan-fried Australian beef with teriyaki sauce and other culinary delights. 588 yuan per person plus a 15 percent service charge. An a la carte menu is also available.

At Cepe, enjoy a six-course New Year's Eve dinner featuring oyster tartar with sturgeon caviar, ginger and kaffirlime foam, bouillabaisse with lobster tartar, pan-seared sea bass with poached shrimp and succulent Angus beef short ribs. Complete the dinner with a traditional holiday dessert: red-wine poached pear, chocolate sauce, crumble and vanilla ice cream. 1,288 yuan per person (plus service charge).
