According to the statistical data released by the Administrative Committee of Zhongguancun Science Park, enterprises above a designated size, from January to October 2014, achieved a total income of 2.57 trillion yuan ($418 billion) with a year-on-year increase of 19 percent, growing 3.8 percentage points over last month. The total profits and tax revenue increased 30 percent, indicating the Park's economy maintained stable growth.
Profits in three industries grow 20 percent
Leading enterprises have played an important role in driving the growth of Zhongguancun's total income. From January to October, large-scale enterprises in Zhongguancun achieved a total revenue of 1.7 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 25 percent, accounting for 66.4 percent of the total. Profits in three industries, including electronic information, new energy and advanced manufacturing, grew 20 percent, accounting for 60 percent of Zhongguancun's total profits growth.
The actual paid-in taxes of Zhongguancun enterprises reached 146.81 billion yuan with a year-on-year growth of 29.2 percent; the gross profit was 193.16 billion yuan with a year-on-year growth of 36.9 percent.
Revenue of mobile Internet industry increases 40 percent
As a leading industry in Zhongguancun, the mobile Internet industry achieved total revenue of 524.29 billion yuan in the first ten months, a year-on-year increase of 39.4 percent; total profits reached 11.47 billion with a year-on-year increase of 16.8 percent.
Modern service industries also maintained their rapid growth. They achieved 1.64 trillion yuan with a year-on-year growth of 20.7 percent.
Per capita incomes reached 1.495 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 14.2 percent; per capita profit was 112,000 yuan, a year-on-year increase of 31.4 percent.
Enterprise technology incomes exceed 300 billion yuan
From January to October, the technology income of enterprises above a designated size achieved 323.49 billion yuan, a year-on-year growth of 22.3 percent, accounting for 12.6 percent of the Park's total income.
A patent is one of the indexes that reflect technical strength. From January to October 2014, the enterprises in Zhongguancun applied for 32,500 patents in total. Nearly 60 percent of them are patents of invention, bringing the total number to 19,300 with a year-on-year growth of 17.7 percent.
